Adaptive Cruise Control Calibration

Precise calibration of the front radar sensor behind your bumper or badge, so your adaptive cruise control keeps a safe following distance and brakes when it should after a collision, bumper repair or sensor replacement.

Get your radar back on target

Most modern vehicles with adaptive cruise control have a radar sensor mounted behind the front bumper or grille badge. This radar measures the distance and speed of the vehicle ahead, so your car can slow down, speed up and hold a safe following gap automatically. On many vehicles the same radar also powers Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

If the front bumper is bumped, repaired or removed, or the radar or its bracket is replaced, even a tiny change in its angle can shift what it sees by several metres down the road. That means your car may follow a vehicle in the next lane, miss the one in front, or switch the system off with a “radar blocked” warning. Our Adaptive Cruise Control Calibration service uses professional calibration equipment to realign the radar to manufacturer specifications, so your safety systems work exactly as intended.
